Our Mission
The Findlay/Hancock County Bar Association is a voluntary professional association of members of the legal profession in Findlay and Hancock County, Ohio. Its purposes are to improve, promote and further the common interests, standards, integrity and honor of the legal profession; to promote reform in the law; to facilitate the administration of justice; and to maintain a united fellowship and courtesy among the members of the legal profession.
Founded in 1899
The Findlay Hancock County Bar Association was incorporated as a non-profit corporation by a filing made with the Ohio Secretary of State on April 6, 1990. Formally, FHCBA is a 501(c)(6) business league, a charitable organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service.
Providing Support
FHCBA has provided past or current charitable support to community programs that assist us in fulfilling our mission statement, including but not limited to Legal Aid of Western Ohio, CASA GAL of Hancock County, Findlay High School “We The People” law and government debate team, Law Day and similar programs.
Grievance Committee
FHCBA sponsors the Certified Grievance Committee as a service to the local community. The FHCBA Certified Grievance Committee handles its own filings directly with the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct and operates independently.
